New owner/barber Juleah Roll has stepped in to operate long time Village mainstay, the Rancho Santa Fe Barber Salon. After Dan Lara retired earlier this year after 40+(!) years of service, Juleah saw an opportunity and bought the business. She spent the last several months giving the shop a much needed renovation, but it is now open for clients.
Juleah, who has both cosmetology and barber certifications and five years work experience has always enjoyed cutting men’s hair and thus will continue the barbershop’s tradition of being primarily a barbershop.
Juleah comes from a long line of hair care professionals, with both parents working in the business, and even her great grandfather having been a barber. She is a recent transplant from North Dakota having moved here about a year ago.
COVID restrictions prevent her from offering shaves at this time, but she handles all hair cutting, beard trims, hair regrowth products, scalp massages, etc.
Since Juleah is the only stylist on “staff”, she is by appointment only, but generally has open times to work around your schedule. She is open and available 8:30am through 6pm Monday through Saturday. She hopes to have a web appointment system operating soon, but in the meantime, call her to make appointments at 858-756-1138.
