Why would you want to run for Rowe’s school board? There are so many reasons. A few from the highlight reel: It gives you a forum to share your talent and skills honed from your professional and/or life experiences. As a board member, you’d be responsible for the district budget, ensuring the fiscal health of the district, and determining how money is spent. Also, you would have the rewarding privilege to help improve the quality of public education for the children in your community. Furthermore, you’d be able to build meaningful relationships between the school board and other stakeholders.
If you are an effective communicator, good listener, and can meet the time commitment involved, then consider running for the school board. This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute and improve our community with the students as the primary focus.
Rose Rohatgi is Vice President of the Rancho Santa Fe School Board and a Covenant member.
