5G is alleged to be the reason AT&T will not connect up people to the fiber network that already exists in the ranch. Yes, AT&T has fiber all over this place and I know this for a fact. The rationale for this stonewalling is that they are milking the money out of the copper lines without investing a dime seeing 5G on the horizon. Why build out a replacement copper network (with fiber) when it will be obsoleted very soon? So if you want fiber connected by AT& T (and that is a horrid idea) then order a business line and they will bring it right to you. 5G will be great but like a lot of technology you can't wait for, you need something now. I won't hold my breath for 5G (or AT&T) lol

5G is a technology that will be used in very dense urban centers. It will not be used in rural areas like RSF. Our trees and hilly terrain make transmitting a 4G signal at 700 Mhz challenging, as can be seen by our existing spotty coverage. 5G, with its mm wave frequencies is pretty much a point to point radio signal that can't penetrate leafy trees. You'll be waiting a long time before RSF gets 5G service.

The RSF Connect fiber network that is currently being built will be a solid service.

Fiber might be a lot better for your health, and will be faster and more reliable. It comes a quite a reasonable price, hookup aside.
