That does sound odd. Is it a permission thing? The neighbor paid for the conduit and thus would have to give you permission to use it? Have you talked to your neighbor about it? I'd have to see the actual location to comment further.So my neighbor and I share existing telephone conduits from the same ATT pole to our respective houses - which we each want to use to get under our driveways or through our landscaping - essentially the last 100 feet or so - and he had fiber conduit pulled to the pole and got hooked up with Race. I called and asked whether (since I would be pulling a conduit from the same street box to the same telephone pole) I could save some time and money and use the same conduit for the second fiber cable - and was told no. It seems completely ridiculous to put in a second conduit that starts and terminates at the same locations as an existing one - especially since it seems that the existing conduit already crosses property lines....
