Happy Flowers: A Canvas Workshop Full of Color, Creativity & Connection

Since 1988, The Rancho Santa Fe Senior Center at 16780 La Gracia, has been an invaluable resource to local seniors and their families by providing resource information, educational programs, and social activities.

Spring is in full bloom, and so is the art program at the Rancho Santa Fe Senior Center. On Wednesday, May 13th, the Center is hosting a special workshop called Happy Flowers – a vibrant, hands-on creative experience that will have you walking away with a cheerful, layered floral masterpiece and a smile to match.

Inspired by the colorful, expressive work of artist Robin Anne Cooper, participants will explore the art of painting, layering, and assembling canvas pieces into one stunning floral composition. The workshop delves into texture, pattern, and dimension – giving you the tools to create something truly three-dimensional and alive.

No prior art experience needed – just bring your creativity and enjoy an inspiring afternoon of artistic expression, relaxation, and connection. Whether you’re a first-time painter or a lifelong doodler, this workshop is designed for everyone. The welcoming, laid-back environment means you can focus on the joy of creating rather than worrying about perfection.

Happy Flowers is also a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow community members, share a laugh, and discover a new creative outlet. Art has a way of bringing people together, and this workshop is no exception. Wednesday, May 13th from 2:00–3:30 PM. A $25 materials fee is paid directly to the instructor. Spots are limited, so register soon at rsfseniorcenter.org/in-person-classes.
