A new restaurant will be coming to Rancho Santa Fe’s former Delicias site.
The Escondido hospitality management company, The Grand Restaurant Group, has signed a seven-year lease for the centric location in Rancho Santa Fe Village.
According to the RSF Review, the company will bring in Master French Chef Patrick Ponsaty – who has served as chef de cuisine for El Mistral in Coronado and still does at the Escondido-based group’s Bellamy’s – as the main chef of the new restaurant which will be named Ponsaty’s.

The restaurant, named after the master chef himself, “will elevate the dining experience by allowing Chef Patrick freedom to cook from the heart using five generations of family know-how,” said Sandra DiCicco, founder of Grand Restaurant Group.
While it is still early in the process, the RSF Review says that the company will be looking to renovate the almost 6000-square-foot property, in what they hope will fill the void left by Delicias.
