In less than a month, the RSF Tennis Club will be the venue for a professional USTA tennis tournament, the “Rancho Santa Fe Open” $60,000 Challenger, hosting some of the top 100 female tennis professionals in the world.
Locals, members and non-members are all invited to participate and watch during this week long event.
Activities kick off Friday October 8th from 3:30 pm to 7:00pm at the RSF Open Tennis Fest. The program will include a tennis and pickleball clinic, drills and games and a high level tennis exhibition match.
The tournament itself starts Monday October 11th with qualifiers and concludes Sunday October 17 with the finals. Everyone is welcome to come and watch – drinks and food will be on sale every day. Admission will be free Monday through Thursday. Tickets will be available for the Friday through Sunday matches (stay tuned for more information).
This year, a young unknown tennis phenom won the just concluded US Open. Maybe one of this tournament’s players will be the next rising star in next year’s majors.
